Moderated by acclaimed Philadelphia bio-ethicist Arthur Caplan, this symposium will address global challenges posed by epidemic diseases, including the uncontrolled spread of AIDS in Africa. Panelists include Marla Gold (Dean of Drexel University’s School of Public Health), Dr. Robert Klitzman (Director of the Ethics and Policy Core of the HIV Center Columbia University), Wilson Lee (Director of Policy Advocacy International AIDS Vaccine Initiative), and Dr. Pablo Tebas (Director of adult AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) of the University of Pennsylvania).
