The Wilma Theater seeks a collaborative and forward thinking individual to join our growing Development team. Charged with raising two-thirds of a $3 million budget, the Development Department is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of individual and institutional funding. Forming and executing fundraising strategies to both grow and sustain our donor base, the Wilma strives to innovate new ways of forming meaningful connections with our supporters. As we move into an exciting period in the Wilma’s history, this is an excellent opportunity to be a part of creating the Wilma’s future.


The Individual Giving Manager will play an integral role in the Wilma’s Development Department. Reporting to the Director of Development, they will be primarily responsible for cultivation and stewardship of the theater’s Annual Fund members (donors under $1,000), as well as management and execution of direct donor appeals (mailings, online, social media, etc.). Additionally, the Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for administration of donor data through our Tessitura CRM system, including data gathering and analysis. The Individual Giving Manager will also manage ongoing special events, including our Annual Gala (the Wilma Fete), opening nights, and cultivation events. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.



  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Event management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems; Tessitura Experience strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills; previous experience with donor relations or customer service
  • Proactive and highly organized, with strong attention to detail
  • An enthusiastic team player with new ideas and a positive attitude
