Branden Jacobs-Jenkins is many things: a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, a Tony Award winner, a professor at Yale. He’s also a D.C. native who grew up in the Takoma neighborhood and developed a love for drama while participating in youth programs at the Theatre Lab and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop.
And yet, some of his fondest D.C.-area memories had nothing to do with the stage.
