The Wilma Theater, Head House Books, and Harriett’s Bookshop are teaming up for a book club event, inspired by one of our most prominent American playwrights, Pulitzer and Tony Award-winner, Suzan-Lori Parks’s play, THE AMERICA PLAY.

A lively book club discussion on acclaimed Philly author Tre Johnson’s Black Genius, a book of cultural essays around the idea of โ€œBlack cultural life showing its brilliance in everyday society.โ€

  • Disussion moderated by Co-Artistic Director Morgan Green
  • Q + A with the author. Enjoy a drink, great conversation, and reflect on the play through the lens provided by the book.
