Adjua Lafleur

Adjua is an educator and spoken word artist from NJ who has been teaching Biology for the past four years.  As a sophomore at Lincoln University, she joined a poetry club called ISPIT and has been writing ever since. Adjua is no stranger to the stage. She started performing at LU in 2013 and has since blessed the mic in cities such as New York, DC, and Wilmington with features in Philadelphia and New Jersey. She has competed in  poetry slams and in 2019, she placed top 5 in the Philly Pigeon Poetry Slam Finals. Adjua worked with community leaders within her school district to create poetry club at her school. She uses her platforms to advocate for ALL (emphasis all) Black people, not just Cis Het Black men. Shade intended.
