Sungwon An is a costume designer and technician based in Pennsylvania. She holds an MFA in Theatre Costume Design and Technology from Florida State University and a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of the Arts. Her extensive professional experience includes working as a Second Hand for Broadway’s The Lion King team at Parsons-Meares, a Senior Stitcher at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and a stitcher/dresser at Bucks County Playhouse. Passionate about education, Sungwon works with public school districts, designing costumes for school musical productions while teaching youth. She has also been selected to represent the U.S. Emerging Exhibition team at the Prague Quadrennial 2027 (PQ27).
