Join in a curated space for people in the Black community to authentically engage with our Friday, December 6 performance of The Comeuppance.
This special night, in partnership with Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia (BTAP), is themed Naughty Aughties in honor of THE COMEUPPANCE’s class of 2002 reunion. Feel free to dress in your best 2000s attire or come as you are. All are invited to stay after the show for a dance party with DJ Robinette Jones!
This event is PAY WHAT YOU WILMA, meaning you choose what you pay.
The Wilma Theater’s Black Affinity Night is a mindful curation of an environment meant to center the experience of people who identify as part of the Black community — dedicated to generating a space for Black identifying individuals to engage with the performance in ways that are authentic to them.
All people who self-identify as Black, and their guests, are specifically invited to attend. Though no one will be turned away, it is encouraged that folks outside of the Black community join us on another night!
The Wilma Theater seeks to welcome and celebrate the Black community of Philadelphia in our theatre space. We strive towards making our theater an equitable and representative space for all audiences.
