THE GOOD PERSON OF SETZUAN
April 2–21, 2024

AAPI Night

Wednesday, April 3, 2024

Join us on Wednesday, April 3rd for a special AAPI Affinity Night hosted in partnership with the Asian Arts Initiative (AAI), in conjunction with our production of “The Good Person of Setzuan”. This evening is dedicated to celebrating and engaging with the AAPI community through art, dialogue, and more!

WHAT
The Wilma Theater’s AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Affinity Night is an evening dedicated to creating a space for individuals identifying with AAPI backgrounds to connect with THE GOOD PERSON OF SETZUAN in meaningful ways. It will feature local AAPI artists/vendors in our Mini Night Market!

WHO
Everyone who self-identifies as part of the AAPI community, and their guests, are warmly invited. While the event is open to all, we especially encourage attendance from the AAPI community to foster an environment of representation and celebration.

WHY
AAPI Affinity Night aims to bridge the gap between the AAPI community and the arts in Philadelphia, fostering understanding and inclusivity. It’s about creating a space where AAPI stories are heard and celebrated, aligning with our city’s diverse heritage and our theater’s mission for broader representation.

Stay tuned for more details as we finalize the exciting elements of this special evening. We look forward to sharing this enriching experience with you and the broader AAPI community!
