In this group class students will explore through play, with the facilitator to help support an actor’s confidence in their physical expression, expand their sense of physical presence, allow for a greater sense of embodiment, and expose them to techniques that help facilitate physical choices for character work.
More about this class:
This is a group learning and exploration class for intermediate to advanced actors. Students should expect to be physically active and come prepared to move, in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. The bulk of the work will be in physical improvisation, with verbal feedback and sharing at the end of each day. Students will be exposed to some lessons from Williamson Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, and kinesiology. Sessions will be held at the Wilma studio within the Wilma theater.
