More about this class:
This course will be held in two consecutive evening sessions. The first session will focus on tools that appear across a wide range of texts, from classical to contemporary, and will be a hands-on exploration of a wide variety of tools. In the second session, participants will be invited to present a classical or contemporary monologue of their choosing for application and feedback.
Each student will leave with practical vocal tools and skills that can be applied to a wide variety of text; each student will also leave having worked in-depth on a monologue of their choosing. Monologues will be selected by the student, prior to the first class. (The instructor is happy to provide suggestions upon request.)
This workshop is designed for adult/professional actors, but anyone age 16 or over is welcome to join. Each student will be met at their level of expertise; no prior acting experience is required, only a willingness to speak and be heard. Intermediate and advanced actors are also welcome and will be met/challenged at their level of work.
