Join in a curated space for people in the Black community to authentically engage with our Friday, April 25 performance of ARCHDUKE.
This event is PAY WHAT YOU WILMA, meaning you choose what you pay.
The Wilma Theater’s Black Affinity Night is a mindful curation of an environment meant to center the experience of people who identify as part of the Black community — dedicated to generating a space for Black identifying individuals to engage with the performance in ways that are authentic to them.
All people who self-identify as Black, and their guests, are specifically invited to attend. Though no one will be turned away, it is encouraged that folks outside of the Black community join us on another night!
The Wilma Theater seeks to welcome and celebrate the Black community of Philadelphia in our theatre space. We strive towards making our theater an equitable and representative space for all audiences.
The Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia is a coalition committed to supporting and uplifting the Black theatre artists in the Greater Philadelphia area while challenging and encouraging the Greater Philadelphia theatre community to be more proactive in their commitment to equity and equality. It is with great enthusiasm that we partner with the Wilma Theater to host a Black Affinity Night for their production of Fat Ham.
