I am a current college student studying theater and I don’t have a professional resume. May I apply?
If you have theater experience, are a current theater student over the age of 18, and you have the intention to work professionally, you are welcome to apply.
Are there scholarships available?
We are not able to provide scholarships. We encourage interested applicants to apply early in order to take full advantage of the early bird pricing.
I will be traveling from out of town. Is there housing available?
The Wilma does not provide housing, but can guide students towards affordable options in the area. For more information, please email the Head of HotHouse Professional Training, Suli Holum.
If I only signed up for week 1, will I be able to add the next 2 weeks once the Institute has begun?
You are welcome to inquire! There are limited spots available in the Institute, and we cannot guarantee availability for weeks 2 and 3 once the Institute is underway. Interested students are always welcome to continue the training at a future Institute.
Do I need to have experience with HotHouse or have taken any trainings before?
Some familiarity with the work of the HotHouse is beneficial, but there is no previous experience with HotHouse training methodology required to enroll. All new students must complete the foundational training (week 1) before participating in the advanced training (weeks 2 and 3).
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Suli Holum, current HotHouse Company Member and our Head of HotHouse Professional Training, SHolum@wilmatheater.org.
