The Fete is our main fundraiser for the season, and we rely on the money raised to support our amazing artistic programming as well as our community outreach and educational programs that serve so many of our Philadelphia neighbors. We are so excited to announce our annual gala will have a brand-new spin! This special evening, curated by our wonderful HotHouse Company, will celebrate the special alchemy of the Wilma and the artists who define our work and mission. This year, we’ll be hosting the gala at the historic Ridgeland Mansion in Fairmount Park, amidst the natural splendor of their secret garden! Prepare to be whisked away by the romantic magic of the night!
Be a part of this magical summer party under the evening sky with performances and play featuring members of the Wilma HotHouse and special surprise guests! This year’s event starts with a special VIP reception with buffet supper and drinks for our sponsors followed by the Solstice Soiree – a whimsical celebration of the HotHouse’s past work and things to come with special entertainment and interactive opportunities with HotHouse members and friends.
The HotHouse Acting Company is the Wilma Theater’s ensemble of actors – an intrepid, process-oriented community of artists who train together in pursuit of deeper and more expansive theatrical expression. Founded by Blanka Zizka in 2016, the Wilma HotHouse is a unique home for artists and an invaluable aspect of the Wilma’s bold artistic work. It’s a rare space where the regional theater model allows room to facilitate artistic growth and exploration for a dedicated ensemble. We passionately believe that our commitment to the HotHouse deepens the work on our stage and our relationship with our supporters like you who make this extraordinary commitment possible.

Our bus will be departing from the Wilma for those joining us at the Solstice Soiree. If you’d like to reserve a spot on the bus just add $15 per ticket and your ride is covered. Space is limited.
Please note – our bus is only for the Solstice Soiree. There is not a bus for the VIP reception. The Solstice Express is only for guests who want to arrive at Ridgeland Mansion at 7:30 PM.
As a sponsor, you and your guests will receive entry to all aspects of the evening, including the VIP Pre-Solstice Reception and the Solstice Soiree, including open bar all evening. Additionally, you will receive special perks and surprises and recognition in print and electronic event materials. We have also created a special Solstice Sponsor level for folks who wish to bypass the VIP event and just join for the main Solstice Soiree starting at 7:30!
